Bali: Sundays Beach Club


Even though Bali doesn't seem so "cultural" because of all of the Aussie tourists slash travellers searching for meaning of life (#nohate), I get why people love Bali. It's tropical, the beaches are divine, and I can't remember travelling to any place that made me feel so zen and relaxed as Bali (guess Balinese massages must have played a role in that as well). And I wasn't even there on "vacation" - I attended a networking/workshop/retreat thing (House of Notoire) where I got to meet these badass, creative women and work on my own creative projects.

That been said, there was time to go sightseeing. And one of my favorite spots was Sundays Beach Club (thanks for bringing us to this place Cynthia!). Like oh my gosh what a beach, and the water was amazing.

There were a bunch of monkeys hanging out in the area as well, but they didn't bother us. Just be sure not to leave your valuables out in the free (duh). Anyway, highly recommend Sundays Beach Club!

A badass Berlin guide

A place I passed. I wish I had tried the food there, but I was on a burger-mission that day. This stay was actually a bit scattered, as I was in Germany to attend a conference in Storkow about hate-speech (hate-speech sucks!). And so, I got to spend time in Berlin before and after the conference, something I'm really happy about. Even though the conference was very important and I got to meet so many great people who care about a lot of the stuff I care about, it was quite intense. And Berlin let me unwind, especially after the conference was over. Solo travelling - Why you should try it

My first big solo trip was to LA, California, USA, and I learned so much from that trip. I learned that I enjoy my own company, that I'm adventurous and that I like to talk to strangers, unless they seem shady (but sometimes I can end up talking with shady people too). Often when I'm travelling with someone, they always end up being that "map-reader". I just go along with it, and never learn the metro-system and stuff like that, but when I was travelling alone I found out that I'm a decent map-reader too, and I'm not as "clumsy" or "lost" as some people might think.  Sometimes certain people get annoyed over my impulsiveness and my "everything's gonna be alright"-attitude, but it turns out that these attributes lead to unexpected adventures.
